The School is centred on the Brunswick campus which has 'state of the art facilities' in conjunction with a fashion and textiles teaching and research centre positioned in the City campus supporting postgraduate programs and research projects.

The role

The Senior Lecturer, Fashion Technology will contribute to the teaching and leadership efforts of the School and to the delivery of programs whilst being actively involved in industry related research, consulting and other professional activities. They will develop, engage in and lead industry relationships that are aligned with the University's strategic focus areas to achieve success in attracting funding and to build on the global positioning of the School.

Skills/Experience required

To be successful in this role it is essential that you have a record of academic, research and professional achievement within the discipline of Fashion Technology, and/or Industrial Design and Product Development, Wearable Technology or equivalent. You will have a significant record of achievement in research and publications and exercise academic leadership to enhance the standing of the discipline and School both nationally and internationally. You will bring to the role your learning and teaching leadership and expertise that will ultimately improve student outcomes and your innovative approach will be applied to student-centred learning and quality improvement programs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to student centred learning (undergraduate and postgraduate) and innovative and flexible Learning and Teaching delivery. It will be advantageous to bring to the role your experience and understanding of developing online and/or offshore delivery.

Mandatory: PhD in relevant field or demonstrated equivalence, including Industrial Design
