Center Administrator, College of Arts & Sciences, Chemistry
Oversee all aspects of the Center's administrative operations. Manage the Center's finances and budgets; assist with the preparation and submission of research proposals; act as HR officer for the Center; participate in strategic planning with the Director, Assistant Director and affiliated faculty; serve as the primary point of contact for other BU offices as well as external constituencies; and fulfill a wide variety of other administrative functions.
Bachelors degree required; Master's degree preferred. This position requires a solid foundation in sponsored research administration, specifically policies and procedures for proper management and compliance, as well as experience writing and compiling proposals to sponsoring agencies and foundations. Familiarity with NIH guidelines is particularly desired. The CA must also possess well-developed writing and presentation skills, as well as experience working with budgets and tracking finances. Competence in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and WordPress, is also essential. Experience in social media is a plus.
