We are seeking a talented and motivated individual with training and experience in environmental epidemiology for a postdoctoral fellowship at Boston University School of Public Health, Department of Environmental Health. The successful candidate will have a strong background in epidemiology and statistical modeling. A background in environmental health sciences, pediatric health outcomes, and/or biomarkers is beneficial but not required.

The postdoctoral fellow will use existing data from birth and/or pediatric cohorts to examine associations between early life toxicant exposures and child health outcomes, with particular emphasis on neurobehavioral endpoints. There will be opportunity for substantial involvement in design and execution of data analysis, incorporating a variety of analytical approaches, and obtaining training in interpretation of neurodevelopmental outcomes. Working with the PI, the fellow must be able to work toward completion of data analysis and preparation of manuscripts for publication and presentation. Current research includes: effects of early life exposure to toxic metals on the developing brain; interactions between toxicants on child health outcomes; and characterization of exposure to toxicants in drinking water.

Initial appointment will be for one year, with the possibility of extension depending on productivity and availability of funds. A complete application should include a CV with list of publications, the names of 3 references, and a brief (<1 page) statement of research and career goals.
