Research Associate/Assistant Professor in Waste Management
Duties & Responsibilities   
An individual required in the field of waste management, including generation, collection, transportation, and disposal of municipal solid waste (MSW). Qatar has very specific waste like brine, petrochemical leakage and waste, domestic sewage, electronic, hazardous and others. Experience in bringing about public awareness of 3R and developing programs and methodologies for public participation in waste minimization and recycling is expected. Candidates who can provide evidence of leading a successful recycling and waste minimization program are encouraged to apply. The Centre for Sustainability is part of the Qatar University’s College of Arts & Sciences. Qatar University has the mandate to disseminate information about the sustainable management of its environment also to create hard core scientific data on the local waste problems. Any research experience in this field would great.

Duties & Responsibilities
1. Conduct research in the relevant field and contribute to the research profile of College through research publications

2. Contribute to various committees at the Program, College, and University level

3. Teach courses in the area of expertise if asked by the college

4. Other responsibilities as assigned by the Head of Department

1.Ph. D. in the Relevant disciplinary area

2.Strong peer reviewed publication record

3.Familiar with Educational technologies used in higher education sector

4.Willingness to work with teams

5.Awareness of working with people from diverse backgrounds

6.Excellent written and oral communication skills
