Located in the Hearing Hub, the Macquarie University Speech and Hearing Clinic provides comprehensive best-practice audiological services for a wide variety of age groups including diagnostic assessments and rehabilitation programs. Research findings are integrated into clinical practice through collaboration between academics and clinical staff.

The Role

We are seeking a Clinical Educator (Audiology) to provide best practice Audiology services to patients and clinical education to Macquarie students.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of clinical services as well as providing clinical education to Masters of Clinical Audiology students. To excel in this role you will need experience and a keen interest in adult rehabilitation and paediatric diagnostics, including the assessment and management of Auditory Processing Disorders. Experience in student supervision is also desirable, but training and mentoring in this area is available. This role reports to the Audiology Clinical Manager

Essential Selection Criteria

  • A Graduate Degree in Clinical Audiology
  • All applicants must be, or eligible to be, Full Members of the Audiology Society of Australia Inc.
  • A minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience providing clinical audiology services
  • Demonstrated use of computer skills including database use, spreadsheet, word processing, internet and email.
  • An OHS provider number

Desirable Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated experience in clinical education
  • Interest and experience in the assessment and management of Auditory Processing Disorder

Employment in this position is conditional upon holding a Working with Children Check Clearance.

Salary Package: From $87,699-$95,084 per annum (HEW Level 7), plus 9.5% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading
