St Mary’s is currently seeking to recruit an energetic, creative and committed individual to provide strategic leadership to its Enterprise and Innovation activity, to achieve ambitious income goals and create an ethos of innovation across the University. This is a new senior management role that will be pivotal to the achievement of St Mary’s ambitions to expand and increase its influence.
As Director of Enterprise and Innovation you will lead the development of the Enterprise and Innovation function across the University, working with staff in all the Academic Schools as well as staff in the Research and Enterprise Team. You will be a self-starter, capable of scoping out opportunities, and excited by the prospect of establishing enterprise as a key pillar of University life. You will design and develop the strategies and policies that create an ethos of enterprise at the University, supporting ideas and innovation amongst staff and students across the University’s Schools, and identifying opportunities to generate income for the University. You will build strong relationships at senior levels with stakeholders in the public, private and voluntary sectors and work with the Pro Vice Chancellor of Research & Enterprise, the Directors of Research and Development, and other senior academic and professional colleagues. Experience working in the higher education sector is not a pre-requisite.
