The Institute for Teaching, Innovation and Learning (INSTIL) plays a central role in developing, leading and delivering the University’s strategic objectives in relation to learning, teaching and assessment. Committed to ensuring the University is always at the leading edge of pedagogic practice, INSTIL delivers high-quality projects in technology-enhanced learning, programmes of academic staff development, a pan-University foundation year framework, and courses in language support and academic literacy.

The University of West London is seeking an exceptional academic leader for the post of Director of INSTIL. They will also assume the role of Head of Learning, Teaching and Enhancement within the University.  Reporting to the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Education), the successful candidate will lead the implementation of the University’s Learning, Teaching and Assessment Strategy and manage a highly creative, motivated and well-qualified INSTIL team. The Director will be a member of the University’s senior management group and be engaged with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders in shaping and delivering the University’s strategic vision.

Candidates will bring a demonstrable track record of personal success in learning and teaching, as well as of relevant management and leadership within higher education.
