TECHNICIAN: FASHION Full time (37 hours per week)
£26,829 to £31,076 per annum

In support of our continuing commitment to a high-quality student experience, we are seeking to recruit a member of technical support staff to join our successful fashion team. The Fashion Studios provide extensive specialist resources to support the creation and realisation of student work from the BA (Hons) and MA Fashion courses; the studios include professional sewing machines, overlockers, buttonholers, pressing equipment, high-quality mannequins and pattern cutting facilities. Reflecting and extending fashion industry trends, NUA’s course and workshop resources embrace emerging technologies and practices including relevant hardware and software.
The successful candidate will be a skilled, committed and dynamic Fashion Technician with proven professional experience of high-quality garment design, construction and manufacture in commercial or Higher Education environments. The person appointed will have an in-depth understanding of the rigorous requirements of studying fashion at undergraduate and post graduate levels with professional standard garment construction and creative pattern-cutting skills.
Experience and knowledge of maintaining equipment, organising and managing machinery and stock will be an advantage.
