This new position will provide statistical support to the Professor of Medicine and the Academic Unit based at the Frankston Hospital. You will contribute to large scale projects involving local, national and international collaborations, as well as providing statistical support to clinical projects conducted within Peninsula Health. You will be involved in statistical methods related to clinical trials and observational study designs, with the opportunity to apply and develop specific expertise in longitudinal data modelling, twin studies, meta-analyses and data linkage among others. Specific fields of interest will include health related to ageing, dementia and vascular disease, among others.
We welcome applications from candidates who have:
- a PhD in statistics or a closely related discipline
- evidence of an emerging track record of publications and presentations
- the ability to work under pressure and to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines
- high levels of initiative and flexibility
- well-developed interpersonal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Stata, SPSS and the R package and experience in interacting with researchers from different disciplines and providing statistical solutions tailored to their study questions will be desirable.
This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
