Salary Level 6/7: A$79K - A$94K per year (plus up to 17% employer superannuation plus leave loading).
An exciting opportunity exists in the Grants Management Office at UNSW for a 12 month appointment as a Grants Officer. The successful applicant will have a proven track record in the delivery of high quality customer service and substantial administrative experience in a high volume office environment.
We are seeking a customer focused individual who leads by example, who has or can develop a solid understanding of research funding management and apply those skills to manage the pre and post award workflows for a portfolio of nominated schools and/or centres. Experience in a research environment would be advantageous but is not a requirement.
The Grants Management Office (GMO) contributes to the University’s research performance and profile via effective management of grants, contracts, consulting research and internal funding, the provision of high level record keeping and retrieval and the provision of useful and timely management reports for the University Executive and researchers.
GMO teams work with researchers to ensure that all grant applications comply with sponsor requirements, are submitted on time and that researchers holding funding meet all sponsor financial and progress reporting requirements; and that information stored in the management system is accurate and reliable.
The position is part of a Team dedicated to the management of grant applications, research funding and the delivery of high quality customer focused services to a cluster of schools and/or centres.
