Part time maternity cover for 8 months
Based central Reading, Berkshire
Up to 28 hrs/wk; flexible working patterns offered; hours negotiable
Salary £20-22,000 pa FTE; actual salary for 28 hrs £16-£17,600 pa

University College of Estate Management (UCEM) is the leading international provider of supported online learning for the Built Environment, with over 90 years’ experience in providing the highest quality learning opportunities for the industry.  UCEM offers a range of property-related academic programmes, as well as providing professional development and tailor-made corporate training courses.

This is a busy and important role within UCEM in which you will provide full administration support for academic programmes and provide a key supporting role to students.  Working closely with tutors and the Student Advice team, you will as part of your role:
• Advise and support students on a daily basis
• Track student engagement and progression and follow-up as necessary
• Deal with issues relating to students’ mitigating circumstances
• Undertake detailed planning and organisation of webinars
• Arrange programme review meetings and act as secretary, taking minutes
• Attend teaching sessions as required
• Assist other student support teams during peak periods
• Comply with quality assurance requirements in all your work

You must have administration experience with the following key skills: planning, organisation, communication, relationship building, and IT (MS office) skills.  We are deadline and quality driven so you must be able to work quickly and accurately under pressure.  We use a student database so any relevant experience is desirable.
