Consolidating our commitment to a high-quality student experience, we are recruiting an individual to join our successful technical support staff team. The Design Studio is a very busy suite of resources offering specialist student digital resources for design, including composition software for print and screen, moving image for design, web design, image manipulation, illustration, and presentation. The Design Studio resources for physical production include professional quality output to laser-cut, large format inkjet, vinyl and laser print.

The successful candidate will be a skilled Technician with proven professional experience in digital design, file preparation, print output, print finishing and laser cutting gained from either a Higher Education or a commercial environment.

The successful applicant, alongside expert-level practical skills, will be expert in a range of digital design skills and able to support students to produce high quality results. The post holders will demonstrate high levels of skill and awareness for contemporary professional design processes for print, digital and screen-based output. 

Experience of planning, preparing and delivering technical inductions to students will be an advantage to meet the requirements of the role. The post holder will join a team operating busy workshop environments, taking responsibility for the associated Health and Safety regulations, manual handling procedures and COSHH regulations.
