Research Assistant and Programmer

We are seeking a talented, motivated, and detail-oriented individual with training and experience in biostatistics and/or statistical modeling for a research assistant/programmer position at Boston University School of Public Health, Department of Environmental Health.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree, Masters level degree preferred, in biostatistics or related field, and proficiency with programming in R and SAS. A background or interest in epidemiology and/or environmental health sciences is preferred but not required. The main responsibilities will be to provide statistical programming for research on environmental toxicants and pediatric health outcomes. The research assistant/programmer will work closely with supervisor(s) to review data quality, support cleaning and/or management of data sets, plan and execute analytical approaches, and generate tables and figures for publications and presentations. There will be opportunity to provide input to manuscripts for publications and contribute to overall efficiency of the research group.
Initial appointment will be for one year, with the possibility of extension depending on availability of funds and productivity. A complete application should include a CV, the names of 3 references, and a brief (<1 page) statement of interest and career goals.
1-3 years of experience and a Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree preferred.
