Grade 7 £36,179 – £41,560 per annum (incl. Outer London Weighting)


The Centre for Academic Practice Enhancement (CAPE) is looking to employ a full time, permanent, Senior Academic Developer to join an exciting and dynamic team; based within CAPE. The role will support academic development across the university working to guide and advise programme teams in all aspect of curriculum design and to work collaboratively with staff to take creative approaches to programme development. The post holder will work in partnership with Schools to coordinate, deliver and evaluate an effective suite of academic development, providing staff with expert advice and practical assistance in curriculum design, assessment and feedback practices and embedding learning technologies appropriately to enhance the student learning experience.  The post holder will be expected to participate in evaluation of initiatives and to adopt scholarly, evidence based approaches to their role and share best practice across the University and Schools.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level, preferably in a STEM subject and have a relevant learning and teaching qualification. They will also have experience of supporting educational development in a higher education context and have a thorough understanding of contemporary learning and teaching approaches and curriculum design.
