About You

We are looking for a proactive and experienced mental health and wellbeing professional to join our innovative student support function.

To be successful you will have experience of working with and supporting adults who are facing wellbeing issues with a history of finding creative and appropriate solutions. Up to date with the latest mental health legislation, policy and best practice you will fully understand when to make independent decisions and when to seek advice and support.

Calm and resilient you will have a positive approach in the face of adversity with the influencing skills to enable students empathetically and effectively.

Highly customer focused with a track record of success, you will make a difference to student’s lives at Edge Hill University.

About the Role

You will work alongside student wellbeing colleagues providing high quality support to our students and their participation in Edge Hill as an academic learning and living community.

You will provide a mixture of both reactive and proactive support to students on issues related to mental health and wellbeing. You will use a high level of clinical skill to assess, contain and manage risk and the complex mental health needs of students. You will respond to crisis situations as well as managing a case load of student clients.

If you are excited by the opportunity to be an integral part of developing a joined up, effective and cohesive approach to mental health and wellbeing, then this may be the role for you.
