School of Economics

The School of Economics is a leading provider of undergraduate and postgraduate economics education in Australia. The School actively engages with business, industry, professional bodies and the wider community with the aim of sharing knowledge and expertise and developing mutually beneficial partnerships.

The Role

The successful appointees will undertake delivery of tutorials with associated preparation, student consultation and marking in first year, second year, third year and postgraduate economics courses. 

The Person

Applicants should possess strong academic background in economics at UQ achieving a GPA of 6.0 or better in introductory economics courses and have completed at least 3 years of undergraduate study, including a significant number of economics or statistics or finance courses.  Economics Honours and PhD candidates are encouraged to apply.  Postgraduate coursework students with completion of at least one semester's work of full-time (economics) study are also eligible to apply.


This is a casual academic appointment. The 2016 remuneration rate is $42.44 per hour, plus employer superannuation contributions of up to 9.5%
