Alzheimer Scotland Lecturer in Dementia Care
Salary Scale: AC-3 £41,709 - £46,924 per annum
We are seeking an enthusiastic and ambitious Lecturer with relevant research experience to collaboratively develop a programme of applied dementia research and innovative education. The successful post-doctoral candidate will be an aspiring dementia leader, with a relevant background including health/social sciences, psychological sciences, social policy and public health. This post, which is being funded in collaboration with Alzheimer Scotland, reflects our shared ambition to be at the forefront of informing and influencing policy and ensuring that evidence based practice is translated into meaningful interventions that will improve the lives of people with dementia, their families, partners and carers. As an ambassador for the Alzheimer Scotland Centre, confidence and clarity in public speaking is essential.
You will have evidence of a growing track record in dementia care research and demonstrate the ability to provide academic leadership including doctoral supervision. You will also be expected to demonstrate a commitment to interdisciplinary research and involvement strategies and show demonstrable ability to establish and sustain effective internal and external research collaborations and partnerships.
