Job Description

The Department of Health Law, Policy & Management in the Boston University School of Public Health invites applications for four or more new full time faculty positions. Ranks are open. A doctoral degree in a relevant field is required.

The growing department is dedicated to research focused on disadvantaged populations in line with the mission of the School of Public Health and the adjacent Boston Medical Center, a safety-net hospital. The department is also affiliated with a two-site health services research center of excellence funded by the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Candidates must have demonstrated research interest and expertise in health services, health economics and finance, health policy and system transformation, implementation science, strategic or operations management, health care finance, or pharmaceutical management and policy. Duties will include teaching and advising Master of Public Health students.

The balance between teaching and externally-funded scholarly research is flexible and can be individualized. Faculty are appointed under a system of continuously rolling multi-year appointments. The duration of these appointments will correspond to rank and annual merit reviews.
