Assistant Professor, Experimental Condensed Matter Physics
The Department of Physics at Boston University seeks candidates for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in experimental condensed matter physics, to begin July 1, 2017. Specialties of interest include, but are not limited to, quantum materials, matter-light interactions including ultrafast optics, AMO, quantum coherent systems, metamaterials, strongly correlated electronic materials, and non-equilibrium systems.
The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree, and will be expected to establish an outstanding research program, and be an effective teacher and mentor in the undergraduate and graduate instructional programs of the Physics Department.
