About the role
The School of Health Sciences excels in the teaching of allied health professionals and includes the disciplines of Family Studies, Medical Radiation Science, Nutrition and Dietetics, Occupational Health and Safety, Occupational Therapy, Oral Health Therapy, Physiotherapy and Podiatry. These disciplines achieve a balance between advancing the professional research profile of their respective areas and working together to educate future health care workers in a multi-professional health care environment.
The Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Medical Radiation Science (Radiation Therapy), will provide academic training to the area of Radiation Therapy and other health sciences through quality teaching, development and coordination of undergraduate and postgraduate courses. They will play a key role in conducting leading research and publishing scholarly papers, as well as actively participating in teaching, development and coordination activities within the Medical Radiation Science programs.
This is a full-time, continuing positions, based at the Callaghan Campus.
Skills and experience
To be successful in this position, you will have:
- a PhD qualification;
- an academic qualification in Medical Radiation Science (Radiation Therapy)
- demonstrated experience in producing excellent research outcomes;
- demonstrated experience in teaching into the discipline of Radiation Therapy; and
- AHPRA registration, or eligibility for registration, as a Radiation Therapist.
