We are seeking to appoint an Associate Professor or Professor in Contract Law.

This is an opportunity to lead our contract law team in research and teaching, and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research and coursework students. Responsibilities may also include coordination of the LLB and JD compulsory contract law unit of study.

The key responsibilities of the position are to:

  • develop and teach contract law units of study
  • lead the coordination and curriculum development in such units and programs
  • develop and lead a research program in contract law, including high quality publications and conference presentations
  • provide academic leadership and mentoring for junior staff in the contract law field and more broadly at Sydney Law School
  • contribute to administrative aspects of teaching and research
  • contribute to the governance, leadership and engagement of the school, the University, the legal profession and the community.


The position is full-time continuing, subject to the completion of a satisfactory probation and confirmation period for new appointees. The successful candidate will be offered an attractive remuneration package commensurate with the responsibilities of the position and relevant experience and qualifications. Membership of a University approved superannuation scheme is a condition of appointment.
