Assist in behavioral and electrophysiological studies related to toddlers and preschoolers with autism spectrum disorder. Requires sensitivity and experience working with families who have children o the autism spectrum. Responsible for recruiting, screening and scheduling participants. Complete or assist in completing diagnostic assessments, standardized testing, behavioral testing and experimental measures with participants. Ensure quality control of data. This includes data collection at BU and at participant's home, data organization, data validation, data entry, data analysis. Assist in the organization and drafting of manuscripts and conference material. These functions are essential to the smooth operation of research.
A Bachelor's degree in Psychology or a related field is required along with strong organizational, interpersonal, and computer skills. Experience working with children on the autism spectrum and knowledge of child development are essential. Candidates with EEG experience, programming experience (E-Prime, SAS, MATLAB, etc..) and experience working with children on the autism spectrum will be given first priority. One to three years related experience preferred.
