Salary: from 49,772 per annum (depending on experience)
The College of Medical, Veterinary and Life Sciences is seeking to appoint an internationally recognised Professor or Reader (Non Clinical) to conduct and lead on world-class cardiovascular research consistent with the research strategy of the Institute of Cardiovascular and Medical Life Sciences. The post is aimed at basic or translational researchers with expertise in cardiac, vascular or metabolic sciences relevant to cardiovascular disease and associated conditions, including diabetes, stroke and kidney disease. The successful applicant will already lead (or will build) an internationally competitive and externally grant-funded research programme, publish in high impact journals, present at international meetings/symposia and participate in grant review and advisory and panels. In addition, the post holder will work with the leadership of the Institute to ensure strong strategic direction. While research is priority, the post-holder will also contribute to supervision and teaching of students at undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate levels and will have input to curriculum development.
