The role

The Lecturer will contribute to the teaching and research efforts of the School in urban planning, with specific expertise in one or more of the areas of: Asian cities, urban economics, transport planning. The Lecturer is responsible for carrying out teaching activities within undergraduate and postgraduate programs and for maintaining and advancing their scholarly research.

Your responsibilities

Reporting to the Deputy Dean, Sustainability and Urban Planning, you will be expected to actively promote the program by establishing and maintaining memberships, links and partnerships with academic, industry and professional communities. Furthermore, you will be expected to work collaboratively and collegially with fellow academics within the teaching team, and update colleagues and students on developments in your subject area or specialisation.

Key skills and experience required

Your demonstrated ability to prepare and deliver programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and capacity to work effectively with students on issues related to learning will be critical to your success in this role. Furthermore, you will have an emerging track record and recognition for quality research outputs which will contribute to existing Discipline and School research areas.

Mandatory Qualification

PhD or equivalent in relevant field
