The Faculty of Arts and Education is a newly created Faculty that builds on the strengths of the previous Faculties of Education and Arts and has significant opportunities to realise new learning and community engagement synergies. The Faculty is comprised of seven Schools and one Centre and has over 9000 online and 3000 internal students. The Faculty is an innovator in online and blended learning modes, across its on-campus and online courses.

The School of Information Studies is Australia’s largest provider of online education for the information professions offering highly regarded, industry focused postgraduate and undergraduate courses in library and information studies, including a stand-alone Masters course in teacher librarianship, and a successful PhD program.

The Lecturer in Teacher Librarianship will work as part of a team of information studies academics to deliver courses in an online environment. The appointee will contribute in particular to delivering and developing the teacher librarianship curriculum, including the school library cataloguing and collection management subjects.

The successful candidate would normally be required to work at the CSU campus at Wagga Wagga, although in some instances a flexible working arrangement where the candidate is based off campus in another location in Australia, may be negotiable.

Applicants are expected to apply online and address the selection criteria listed in the position description.
