Human Development and Family Studies
The Department of Human Development and Family Studies is one of eight academic programs in the College of Health and Human Sciences. Colorado State University is Colorado’s land grant institution and holds the Doctoral/Research University – Extensive classification from the Carnegie Commission on Higher Education. CSU’s Prevention Research Center conducts community-based intervention research to build health and wellness and prevent problem behaviors across the lifespan.

Position Summary

Will serve as Project Manager for large state-wide research project designed to research interventions to build healthy schools and assist with management, tasks of the Prevention Research Center.

Required Job Qualifications

-Must have minimum of Bachelor’s degree and 3 years experience.

Preferred Job Qualifications

-Masters degree in Human Development and Family Studies, Public Health, or related field is preferred.
-Experience with community outreach and working on large research projects

Essential Duties

Job Duty Category Project Management Duty/Responsibility

Plan, schedule, organize and conduct focus group interviews with key state-level stakeholders from University, Foundation and Non-profit organizations, and from local school participants across the state. Assist with supervising Graduate Research Assistants also conducting focus groups. Organize, manage and analyze qualitative data from focus groups and assist in preparing reports to funding agencies and constituents. Organize, coordinate and manage cross-institution (CU-Denver, UNC) meetings. Plan, Organize and manage annual state-level workshop. Develop and maintain computer data management system and cross-institution file sharing system

Developing outreach materials and strategies. Planning and conducting outreach events

Percentage Of Time 20 Job Duty Category Center Research Support Duty/Responsibility

Assist with preparing proposals and managing budgets, conduct library/literature searches for proposals and manuscripts, assist with statistical analyses and preparing professional and community presentations..
