Software Engineer - Hariri Institute
Will work as part of an agile team developing and operating cloud and Big Data applications and infrastructure to support the mission of the Cloud Computing Initiative (CCI) and the larger Hariri Institute. Work involves participation and is in support of multiple projects. Work will involve developing and deploying software platforms, supporting a variety of Big Data applications and helping transform research artifacts into production platforms and applications that can support a community of users. The candidate will supervise the development efforts of a community of students, interact/contribute with a number of open source communities, and work with the many industry partners of the CCI.
Acquires, builds, tests, and maintains systems needed to support enterprise IT services. Writes code and makes configuration changes necessary to integrate infrastructure services to IT environment. Serves in an advanced professional level role. Works on multiple projects as a project leader or frequently as the subject matter expert. Works on projects/issues of medium to high complexity that require demonstrated knowledge across multiple technical areas and business segments. Coaches and mentors more junior technical staff.
1-3 years of experience and a Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree preferred.
