About You

You will hold, or be in the final stage of a PhD in a relevant field and have evidence of high quality research, preferably with publications suitable for submission to the next REF exercise. With excellent communication skills and previous teaching experience at undergraduate level you will demonstrate a positive attitude to the teaching and research goals of the Department. Applications are welcome from candidates with expertise in applied movement science, children’s movement development, and/or children’s physical activity and health.

About the Role

You will be able to lead the teaching of children’s disability and special educational needs on our Physical Education and School Sport undergraduate degree programme, and contribute to module delivery in other areas of the programme. This is an exciting opportunity for you to join a department with a growing research culture supported by high quality specialist teaching spaces including well equipped psychology, biomechanics and physiology laboratories, a dedicated multi activity teaching gymnasium, and use of the Sporting Edge complex with its associated indoor and outdoor facilities for a wide range of field sports, swimming and athletics.
