Job Description
The Visiting Lecturer for KGSP Math helps prepare a group of 13 gifted international students for the math section of the SAT reasoning test and the SAT Subject Test in Math Level 2. The instructor will teach a total of 60 hours in the 12-week session (September 26-December 15), choose materials appropriate to the KGSP student population, develop a syllabus conforming to CELOP guidelines, keep attendance and performance records for the students, assess students to determine progress in achieving course objectives and communicate this assessment to the students. and assign letter grades at the mid-term and at the end of the course. The instructors will have the support of the students' advisor in the foundation year program.
Required Skills
A strong record of outstanding mathematics instruction to pre-matriculation international students, a strong knowledge of the SAT reasoning test and the SAT Subject Test in Math Level 2 is required. A graduate degree in an intensive math related field is desired.
