The School of Health Professions currently comprises the disciplines of Nursing, Chiropractic and Counselling. The Bachelor of Nursing is offered on the Perth and the Mandurah campuses, which are approximately 60km apart and a 40 minute drive by car.
This position is headquartered at the South Street campus however performance of the role’s responsibilities may require the flexibility of undertaking some teaching at the Mandurah campus. In some instances an academic may negotiate to be headquartered at the Mandurah campus.
The role primarily contributes to the teaching effort of the School through the coordination and associated teaching of units related to the postgraduate Health Care Management programs, although some teaching into the undergraduate program may also be required. This position also requires the lecturer to perform a range of administrative and service functions within the discipline and the School and contribution to professional activities relevant to the discipline.

Skills and Experience
The successful candidate should be a registered nurse with a Masters Degree in a relevant area, with either a PhD or progress towards a PhD favoured. Demonstrated success in clinical and professional practice with particular reference to health care management is essential.
The candidate should also be able to demonstrate an understanding of, and commitment to, evidence based teaching and have knowledge of contemporary approaches to curriculum and pedagogy related to health professional education. These attributes should be accompanied by relevant years of professional and teaching experience and evidence of positive student and colleague feedback.
