Deputy Director of Quality and Standards
Full Time (37 hours per week)

£48,327 to £51,260 per annum

The University has expanded its student numbers, increased its collaborative partnerships including with employers and is responding positively to changing external market and stakeholder needs such as degree apprenticeships, the new quality assessment regime and the Teaching Excellence Framework. In doing so, we are increasing investment in a key leadership role in The Quality and Standards Office. The Deputy Director will work with the Director of Quality and Standards, Deans, Heads of School and key academic and professional service leads within the wider University community. The role will also provide key leadership and management of the Quality and Standards Office.

The Role
This new role of Deputy Director of Quality and Standards is a key leadership role within the University. There is an exciting development agenda which is matched by an ambitious appetite for enhancing student experience. The Deputy Director will support the Director in providing a strategic lead for quality and standards across the University. Working with senior staff in faculties, schools, professional service departments and within the Directorate of the PVC Education and Student Experience, the post holder will be expected to make a significant contribution to enabling the University to meet future challenges and changes

The Person

The candidate must be educated to higher degree level, have direct experience of working in a quality role at a senior level in higher education including of the QAA review system. It would be advantageous for candidates to have QAA reviewer experience.
