The College of Business comprises six schools delivering a broad range of programs in Business, ranging from Certificates up to PHD levels. The School of Vocational Business Education (VBE) offers a broad range of industry relevant, globally oriented, applied training and education, from Foundation Studies to Certificate, Diploma and Associate Degree levels.
You will be responsible for the design and delivery of course material, assessing students and the supervision of students enrolled in selected courses in the School. Participation in the School's continuing reviews of course content and development, delivery, teaching methods (including on-line delivery methods) and methods of students' assessment will also form part of this role.
The role will interact with external organisations, commercial clients, industry groups and RMIT teaching and administration staff. Your performance will be underpinned by participation in relevant activities which ensure your vocational competence meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed.
Skills & Experience required
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate vocational competencies at least to the level of those delivered. You will also hold an Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) or equivalent qualification that includes the assessment and delivery competencies in the Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40110. A degree or post-graduate qualification in the relevant business-related disciplines of Marketing, Accounting or Law is preferred.
In addition, you will have effective interpersonal and communication skills relevant to teaching and consultancy environments. You will have demonstrated experience in competency-based assessment and relevant industry experience, and substantial discipline knowledge as it relates to the position.
