Non-Tenure Track Senior Lecturer Position in Construction Management

NTU's School of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) aspires to be a leading school for Sustainable Urban Systems. Currently, it has over 60 faculty members and more than 1,500 students, and is rapidly expanding its range of educational and research activities. Its faculty has led major university-wide strategic research thrusts in space creation, water research and sustainable built environment. Going forward, CEE is addressing critical problems in urban systems such as building and energy systems, sustainability of urban cities, and resiliency to natural and unnatural risks.

The School invites applications for a non-tenure track Senior Lecturer position in Construction Management.

Applicants should have at least a bachelor degree in civil engineering and a master’s degree in construction engineering/ project management or related field. Candidates with strong industrial experience in the construction industry are strongly preferred. As the main responsibility is in teaching, the candidate must demonstrate strong and relevant teaching ability and be excellent in communication skills.  A candidate who is a registered professional engineer in Singapore is an added advantage.
The candidate shall have a strong background in several of the following construction fields: construction project management, construction technology, value engineering in construction, quality management in construction, project financing, and human resources management.  

The candidate is expected to play a significant role in developing and teaching construction courses in one or more of the following areas: construction project management software, building information modelling (BIM), design for manufacturing and assembly (DfMA), prefabricated prefinished volumetric construction (PPVC), automation in construction. The candidate should preferably be familiar with AutoCAD design and modelling software so that the above topics can be integrated using 3D models in the CAD environment.


The successful candidate is expected to teach construction courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and supervise undergraduate and MSc student projects.
