Applications are invited for appointment as Research Officer in the School of Biomedical Sciences (Ref.: 531706), to commence as soon as possible, on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Molecular Virology or a related field, and demonstrate exceptional experimental, writing, and communication abilities. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise and experience in virology, molecular cell biology and immunology. In particular, we seek applicants who are eligible to work in Biosafety Level 3 facility, have a strong publication record and have been successful in securing external research grants. Additionally, they should display self-motivation, innovation, and the capacity to thrive in an interdisciplinary team setting. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme at 15% of basic salary.
