Applications are invited for appointment as Research Officer/Assistant Research Officer in the Department of Pathology (Ref.: 531456), to commence as soon as possible on a two-year or three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.
Applicants should hold a PhD degree in Immunology from a top-tier university (QS ranking top 50) and have at least five years of postdoctoral training in immunology research in leading universities. Candidates should have a proven track record of high-impact research output, demonstrated by at least 5 first-author publications in top immunology journals within the last 10 years. A strong research background in autoimmune diseases with extensive experience in various animal models is advantages.
The appointee will be expected to independently work on immunopathogenesis of autoimmune diseases. Expertise in bioinformatics analysis using R is required, particularly in handling and interpreting large-scale immunological datasets, such as single-cell RNA sequencing. The successful candidate should be proficient in high-parameter spectral flow cytometry, mass cytometry, cell isolation and adoptive cell transfer. Additionally, the appointee will take an active role in supervising graduate students. They should be organized, responsible, self-motivated, and have a good command of communication and interpersonal skills.
The position offers a highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience, along with annual leave and medical benefits. Appointments on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contributions to a retirement benefits scheme, amounting to up to 15% of the basic salary. Housing benefits will be provided where applicable.
