We are seeking an education leader, advocate and manager for the University's Institute of Education - Te Kura o Te Mātauranga within the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
This pivotal leadership role offers the opportunity to:
lead a high performing team of academic, professional and clinical staff who operate on two campuses as well as digitally/online to deliver a range academic and professional programmes develop and drive a strategy for one of the largest academic units at Massey University nurture established networks while building and sustaining meaningful relationships with diverse education, community and government stakeholders.

Mō tēnei tūranga mahi - About this role
This is a full-time, ongoing Professorial appointment with an initial three-year fixed-term role as Head of the Institute of Education, based at either our Albany (Auckland) or Manawatū (Palmerston North) campus.
At the end of the fixed-term Head of Institute appointment, if a further agreement is not offered or accepted, the incumbent will resume a full-time, ongoing Professorial position under terms and conditions appropriate to that role.
Reporting directly to the Pro Vice-Chancellor of the College, you will be accountable for the intellectual, academic and organisational leadership of the Institute of Education - Te Kura o Te Mātauranga, and for engaging in senior leadership collaboration and portfolio management within the wider College.

an experienced, competent and enabling leader and manager of academic, professional and clinical staff who is committed to upholding Te Tiriti a doctoral qualification with a strong academic record, recognised for excellence in research and teaching, and holding a high standing within your discipline an experienced networker and relationship builder with excellent interpersonal skills an advocate of equity through education an individual who understands innovation in education, particularly for distance, online and hybrid delivery providers.
