Lecturer in Food and Nutritional Science in the School of Biological Sciences

Applications are invited for appointment as Lecturer/Assistant Lecturer in Food and Nutritional Science in the School of Biological Sciences (Ref.: 531230), to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree by research in Nutritional Science, Dietetics, Public Health or Sports Nutrition, with at least 3 years of relevant teaching experience. Those with a portfolio in course design, production of teaching materials, quality assurance, supervision of teaching practice, and/or student advising are highly preferred. The appointee will teach undergraduate courses in areas such as nutrition, nutritional biochemistry, sports nutrition, human physiology, and/or public health. He/She will also provide support for practicum and student support services, and perform other duties as assigned. Those with less experience may be considered for appointment as Assistant Lecturer.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointment will attract a contract end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary for Lecturer, or up to 10% of basic salary for Assistant Lecturer.
