Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant Professor in the School of Public Health (Ref.: 531258), to commence as soon as possible on a two-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Nursing, Public Health, Social Sciences or health-related disciplines with multiple years of relevant experience. They should demonstrate strong competency in qualitative and quantitative data analysis and have a good command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese). Post-doctoral research experience, especially a strong background in nursing, public health and primary healthcare research, and an excellent publication and teaching track record would be advantages.
The appointee will contribute to a research team led by Professor Sophia S.C. Chan, the Principal Investigator, in a research project on nursing leadership, nursing practice and nursing education related fields for nursing professionals in Hong Kong. He/She will assist the Principal Investigator to plan, coordinate, implement research and collect data; administer the project and survey design; conduct literature review and data analysis; examine methodologies; design assessment tools and questionnaires; prepare manuscripts, research meetings, research findings, presentations and evaluation reports; supervise Post-doctoral Fellow and Research Assistants; collaborate with the project administration and teaching teams; and perform other relevant tasks as assigned.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualification and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. Appointment on fixed terms will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
