About the Faculty of Medical Sciences

The Medical & Paramedical Cluster’s mission is to create a health ecosystem combining academic activities, scientific research and care through the Smart Health Care City project of Benguerir.

The Faculty of Medical Sicences (UM6P-FMS), the Cluster's main institution, endeavors to build very high-level medical and paramedical study programs. UM6P-FMS aims to train polyvalent doctors, pharmacists and nurses in a scientific research environment of excellence, in partnership with international universities and leader pharmaceutical groups.

The Faculty seeks to respond to current and future changes in medical practices through the Medicine and Polyvalent Nursing streams, and to develop of Biotechnology through the Pharmaceutical stream.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Main Mission:

Teach and develop training programs in computer science applied to medical sciences, while conducting research in the field of digital health and development of the health computing institut within the smart healthcare city

Responsibilities:

Design and deliver courses on computer science, biostatistics, data analysis and artificial intelligence applied to medicine.

Develop teaching materials (online courses, manuals, case studies).

Evaluate and grade students, provide constructive feedback.

Research:

Design and conduct research projects on the use of information technology in healthcare.

Publish research in academic journals and participate in conferences.

Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop innovative IT solutions.

Program Development:

Contribute to the creation and updating of medical informatics curricula.

Participate in interdisciplinary initiatives between the departments of computer science and medicine.

Supervision:

Supervise students' internships, PhDs, undergraduate students and research projects.

Participate in the academic orientation of students.

Required Skills:

PhD in Computer Science, Medical Informatics, or related field.

Solid understanding of health information systems, medical databases, and digital health concepts.

Experience in higher education and ability to use innovative teaching methods.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Ability to work in a team and collaborate with various stakeholders.

Working Conditions:

Full-time position.
