About the Role

The Rural Education Team Manager will take the lead in managing the rural Student Administration Services (SAS) and Work Integrated Learning (WIL) team's operations. This role is pivotal in driving and executing strategic improvement initiatives, ensuring a positive and proactive impact on the service culture surrounding multidisciplinary student teaching and learning activities across Rural and Remote Health South Australia. This includes programs such as the South Australia Rural Medical (SARM) Program, University Department of Rural Health, and the Regional Training Hub. The position will play a key role in ensuring a smooth, seamless experience for students, no matter their location, through a strong focus on cohesion, continuity, and best practices.

About You

To be successful in this role you will exhibit:

  • Degree qualified in a relevant discipline and extensive relevant experience in managing service delivery in a large and complex organisation, or extensive management experience and proven management expertise
  • Experience in leading, motivating and developing a team of geographically dispersed service-oriented professionals
  • High level complex and sensitive problem solving, negotiating and conflict resolution skills in a customer service context
  • Superior planning and organisational skills, with experience establishing priorities, allocating resources and meeting deadlines whilst working under pressure in a high-volume, fast-moving service environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge of CRM and Service Management tools, customer analytics and other data management.

Flinders University Rural and Remote Health SA (FRRHSA) facilitates high quality multidisciplinary health education and research in our State's regional areas.

We have a strong national and international reputation for providing community-engaged inter-professional training for medical, nursing, and allied health students. This includes the Doctor of Medicine Rural Stream (MDRS) program and multidisciplinary rural clinical placements.
