Western’s School of Computer, Data and Mathematical Sciences is seeking a dedicated and experienced academic to join our Centre of Artificial Intelligence.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional undergraduate and postgraduate teaching across a variety of subjects in artificial intelligence, computing, IT, and data science. You will also play a leading role in developing our program curriculum and subjects associated to the Centre, ensuring they remain at the forefront of technological advancements. As a leading researcher, you will drive an active research program, publishing your findings in internationally recognised journals and attracting competitive external funding. Your responsibilities will extend beyond teaching and research. You will engage in administrative activities, liaise with the mathematics department and other schools within the university for cross-disciplinary collaboration, and maintain connections with external AI groups, institutes, societies, and professional associations. Your involvement in national and international AI conferences will further enhance our school's reputation. You will attract, supervise, and mentor postgraduate research students, ensuring they complete their programs successfully.

This is a full-time, ongoing position based at Parramatta South Campus, although travel to other campuses of the University may be required.
