This position is continuing (contingent funded). The funding that supports this project has an expected end date of 30 November 2026.

Position Overview

This is a key role in a friendly, motivated team contributing to research in relation to an MRFF Indigenous Health Research Grant.

The work location can be either Canberra or Adelaide. 

With no two days being the same, this role is integral to the development of educational tools and genetic health resources that ensure best practice approaches are engaged by genetic counsellors working with First Nations families. These tools and resources will be developed over a two-year period.

The Person

We are looking for an applicant with proven social science, science communication, health literacy, and/or education backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply. Applicants should possess a high level of demonstrated research skills in one or more of the following: social sciences, science communication, health literacy, education, and/or Indigenous methodologies. Qualitative research skills and experience are required, including the ability to conduct interviews and focus groups, and analyse data. Proficiency in quantitative research – specifically survey development and analysis – is desired.
