Position Overview
We are seeking a high-performing Executive Assistant & Senior Administration Officer to the Chief Operating Officer (COO) who will play a pivotal role in supporting the smooth operation of the executive office and the wider Portfolio. In addition to providing high-level administrative and strategic support to the COO, you will also play a role in forward planning and ensuring alignment across the Portfolio.
This is a dynamic and varied role that requires exceptional organisation, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities—many of them complex and confidential.
Applicants for this role may also be considered for other Executive Assistance roles within the Australian National University.
The Person
Are you a highly organised and proactive Executive Assistant looking for a role that extends beyond traditional support? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing not only the needs of a C-suite executive but also contributing to the broader coordination, forward planning, and operational efficiency of an executive office? If so, we would love to hear from you.
To excel in this role, you will bring:
- Experience supporting C-suite executives in a complex, fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional organisational skills, with a proactive approach to managing competing priorities.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with senior stakeholders.
- A strategic mindset, capable of forward planning and ensuring expectations are managed across teams.
- High attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy.
- Proven ability to exercise discretion, confidentiality, and sound judgment.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office.
