The Department of Marketing and International Business at the University of Vienna invites committed applications for University Assistant (praedoc) at the Marketing research group (Prof. Dr. Martin Eisend).
Your personal sphere of influence:
As a university assistant prae doc you will complete the team around Prof. Dr. Martin Eisend at the Institute of Marketing and International Business. In addition to your independent research, you will take on tasks such as independent and supportive teaching of courses and examinations and supervision of students as well as support in research, organizational and administrative activities.
The advertisement is for 4 years, whereby the employment relationship is initially limited to 1.5 years and is automatically extended to a total of 4 years, unless the employer submits a declaration of non-renewal after a maximum of 12 months.
Your future tasks:
Successful candidate will engage in the following activities:
- Contribute to the teaching and research activities of the Marketing research group with a focus on Marketing Communication and Consumer Behavior.
- Independent teaching of courses as defined by the collective agreement in Marketing.
- Write a doctoral thesis, we expect the successful candidate to sign a doctoral thesis agreement within 12-18 month.
- Additional Tasks: supervision of students, involvement in the department administration.
This is part of your profile:
- MA or MSc in the study field of Business Administration, Psychology or a comparabel degree.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
- Excellent skills in statistics and statistics software (e.g., SPSS, STATA, R, etc.) Beyond any formal requirements.
- We are looking for highly motivated, curious students who are willing to take on responsibility and go the extra mile.
- Experience in scientific writing (in English), experience in data collection and analyses.
