Overview
The School of Nursing and Midwifery provides a comprehensive range of academic programs to prepare health care professionals for positions in nursing and midwifery. The School has a commitment to developing strong partnerships locally, nationally and internationally through its collaboration with health professions, industry and the broader community. The School is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced academic to join the team.
The successful applicant:
- Will have completed a Master’s degree – Nurse Practitioner and be willing to work towards a PhD or equivalent supported by relevant (nursing) qualifications
- Have extensive professional experience and expertise in the area as a Nurse Practitioner;
- Must be registered or eligible for registration and Nurse Practitioner endorsement with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia; International candidates are welcome to apply.
- Will possess experience in curriculum development and teaching strategies; and
- Will demonstrate clinical achievement and publications commensurate with Academic level (B) at ECU.
Nurse practitioners working in the field of Mental Health and/or Paediatrics is highly valued but not a requirement to apply.

Benefits & Remuneration
This 1.0 FTE ongoing position attracts remuneration of $113,918 to $134,596 pa (PRO RATA) (ALEVB) plus 17% University superannuation contribution. Part time equivalent will be considered.
