BA in Animation and Digital Arts Programme under Department of Digital Arts and Creative Industries is looking for a specialist in digital animation with solid art background to teach the animation and digital arts courses.
General Requirements
The appointee is expected to teach a board range of subjects, covering 2D and 3D animation, VR, interactive media and computer arts. Applicants should have an MFA or a PhD Degree in relevant fields and a proven track record in teaching and curriculum design. Applicants should demonstrate expertise in at least two of the following areas:
- Animation production;
- Extended Reality;
- Game design; and
- Interactive media
The desirable candidate should demonstrate expertise in animation and digital media, preferably with a focus on the Asia Pacific region, demonstrated potential for academic leadership is essential. Notable and recognized professional credits or awards are desirable but not mandatory. Proficiency in Chinese and English is essential.
Appointment
The conditions of appointments will be competitive. The remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits include annual leave, medical and dental benefits, mandatory provident fund, gratuity and incoming passage and baggage allowance for the eligible appointee. Appointment will normally be made on a fixed-term contract of up to three years.
