About the Role

Flinders University has an exciting opportunity for a Digital Content Producer to join the Marketing and Student Recruitment Team.

Under broad direction, the Digital Content Producer (DCP) will develop content and assets that align with the strategic objectives of Flinders’ College of Education, Psychology, and Social Work, and the University’s wider priorities.  The DCP will use Adobe Experience Manager (CMS), copywriting, social media and videography skills to contribute to the College’s student recruitment, research, and stakeholder engagement goals. This role involves close collaboration with the Marketing and Student Recruitment Team and College Support Team, using a deep understanding of the College’s offerings to create engaging content for websites, social media, email campaigns and publications.

The Digital Content Producer will also:

  • Work with the Digital Content Lead, prioritise College service requests and negotiate timelines with stakeholders.
  • Review systems and processes to identify, develop and implement continuous improvements that deliver high quality customer centric services.
  • Work collaboratively and establish good working relationships with staff across the University community.

As the successful Digital Content Producer, you will possess a degree in communications, media studies, marketing, or a related field, along with relevant industry experience. You will be skilled in writing, editing, and proofreading content for online channels aimed at diverse audiences. With a positive attitude and a passion for creating impactful content, you’ll play an important role in delivering great outcomes for the College and wider University.

To be successful in this position, you will also demonstrate:

  • Experience in Adobe Photoshop and InDesign for basic creative production.
  • Knowledge of best practice principles and standards for digital content across web, social and email marketing.
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities and organisational skills with the ability to work independently to determine and prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.

How to Apply and Information

  • You are required to submit a Suitability Statement addressing the below four Key Position Capabilities of the position description.
    • Completion of a degree in communications, media studies, marketing or a related discipline with subsequent relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of experience and / or education and / or training.
    • Demonstrated experience in writing, editing and proof-reading content for online channels tailored to diverse audiences.
    • Well-developed experience working within a CMS. Experience in Adobe Experience Manager, Wordpress, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign would be an advantage.
    • Significant problem-solving capabilities and organisational skills with the ability to work independently to determine and prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
