About Information and Digital Services 

Information and Digital Services (IDS) are a pivotal resource of the University, providing information and digital technology services and support to the Flinders University staff and student community. The IDS team apply technical expertise to support university projects and provide core services such as the IDS Service Desk, Audio visual, simulation and event services, Information security and identity access management services and more.  

About the Role 

We are on the lookout for a dynamic and innovative Senior Digital Experience Designer to join our Information Digital Services team. In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of creating intuitive, user-centric designs that not only meet but exceed the needs of our staff and students. From conceptualization to implementation, you will leverage your expertise in user research, interaction design, service design and visual design to ensure our digital experiences are of the highest quality and effectiveness.

You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, developers and stakeholders, to define and implement cutting-edge solutions that align with user needs and business objectives. Additionally, you will support and align with the relevant IDS capability hub to foster the growth of the DX capability.

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

  • Proven experience in digital experience design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
  • Expertise in user research, interaction design, service design and visual design.
  • Strong understanding of user-centred design principles and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically to solve complex design challenges.
  • Passion for staying up to date with the latest trends and technologies in digital design.

You will also hold a relevant university degree in Human-Computer Interaction, design or a related field with relevant experience or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education and/or training.
