Marketing and Student Recruitment team

The Marketing and Student Recruitment team is evolving in 2025, with exciting new opportunities situated across our vibrant Bedford Park campus and our new state-of-the-art Flinders City Campus at Festival Plaza. About the Role 

The Student Recruitment Assistant provides a high level of response across all service channels to prospective and existing domestic students, wishing to transfer courses. The Student Recruitment Team is responsible for implementing recruitment, conversion and reengagement activities for foundation studies, undergraduate and postgraduate applicants to ensure that University’s student recruitment targets are met.

Some of the key responsibilities of the Student Recruitment Assistant position include:

  • Providing a customer-centred response service to all inbound queries from domestic prospective students and current students wishing to transfer courses, received through:
    • Telephone
    • Email
    • Webchat
    • Face to Face
    • Recruitment Events
  • Providing functional supervision to casual staff and casual student ambassadors including rostering, on-the-job training, instruction and provide day to day informal feedback.
  • Contributing to the creation/proposal of knowledge base articles in the course of responding to enquiries.
  • The role will also support various events on campus. This will include assisting in coordinating the visits and helping with on the day logistics as required. 

About You 

To be successful in this role, you will be a reliable and adaptable team player who can adapt within a new and growing team. You will have great interpersonal and communication skills, allowing you to provide engaging support and create positive outcomes to enquiries. You will approach work productively and cooperatively, be a problem-solver and look to grow and improve service standards and processes within the Student Recruitment Team.

As the Student Recruitment Assistant, you will also demonstrate:

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy and an ability to carry out tasks maintaining integrity, confidentiality, and sensitivity.
  • Experience in a busy front-line customer-centered service environment with demonstrated commitment to providing outstanding service to clients, and a strong working knowledge in word and excel.
  • Experience in the provision of information on courses, application processes, policies, and procedures to prospective and current students.
