About the Role

Are you passionate about the future of AI and eager to make an impact? We’re looking for a dynamic Research Assistant to help shape the development of research and education materials focused on generative AI and its real-world applications in enterprise environments.

In this role, you’ll work alongside a multidisciplinary team of experts in AI, business, and entrepreneurship, gaining hands-on experience in one of the fastest-evolving fields. You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Support and contribute to groundbreaking AI research
  • Assist in organising and running engaging workshops and events
  • Collaborate with industry leaders and top researchers
  • Expand your expertise in AI technologies and their business applications

About You  

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate, liaise and work with people at all levels, both internal and external to the University with tact, maturity and appreciation of sensitive issues.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with Generative AI in research or enterprise projects.
  • High level interpersonal skills, including excellent written, oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently with minimal supervision and as a team member as part of the larger research project.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with attention to detail regarding testing protocols, report writing, and record management.
  • Demonstrated experience in coordinating and managing the execution of webinars and podcasts.
  • Demonstrated experience in development and execution of social media campaigns across various platforms including LinkedIn and Twitter.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - including the ability to research; edit reports and documents presentations and to take accurate minutes, as well as liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, along with the ability to prioritise activities, manage competing priorities respond to ad hoc and time critical requests while meeting deadlines. 

Qualifications

Completion of a bachelor degree with major study in Computer Science or a related field, or extensive relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
